The laboratory introduces the students about the network parameters analysis like “Z-parameters”, “Y-parameters”, “ABCD parameters”, & “h parameters”. The lab introduces first time the use of bread boards and application of it in filter designing. The students are made familiar with the transient response in RL, RC and RLC circuits. More emphasis is given on the use of CRO, Bread boards, power supply and elements of the circuit in place of kits. The laboratory is well equipped with function generators, CRO, Power supply, special CRO for analysis of transient response, Pots. ,elements like resistors, inductor box, capacitors, bread boards, etc. The laboratory is well suited for the students to have a deep and practical knowledge of the theoretical concepts of their syllabus.The students are provided the lab manuals with relevant circuit diagrams and explanatory theory to help them to perform the experiments properly and efficiently.
1. To calculate and verify “ Z ” parameters of a two port Network. 2. To calculate and verify “ Y ” parameters of a two port Network. 3. To calculate and verify “ h ” parameters of a two port Network. 4. To calculate and verify “ ABCD ” parameters of a two port Network. 5. Transient response of “ RL ” circuit. 6. Transient response of “ RC ” circuit. 7. To find the resonance frequency and bandwidth of RLC series circuit. 8. To plot the frequency response of low pass filter and determine half power frequency. 9. To plot the frequency response of high pass filter and determine half power frequency. 10. To plot the frequency response of band pass filter and determine half power frequency.
